Automotive Technician
We are currently looking for an Automotive Technician to join our well-established client that is expanding in Whangarei.
As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide range of European and Japanese vehicles, including high-value classic cars.
Your key tasks will include performing routine maintenance, conducting thorough vehicle inspections, identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring all work meets industry standards.
You will also be expected to use diagnostic tools, liaise with suppliers for parts, and provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance recommendations to clients.
Working as part of a skilled and supportive team, you will contribute to maintaining the workshop’s reputation for quality and reliability.
Benefits
- $32 - $35 per hour
- 40 hour work week, Monday to Friday

To be successful in this role you will have:
- 4+ years in a franchise dealership environment
- Have a trade certificate as an automotive mechanic/technician
- Strong English communication skills
- Strong electrical fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Proven experience as a self-starter working individually and part of a team
- A solid understanding of automotive electrical diagnosis and best practise repair methods
